20thC Mahogany-Veneered Ram's Head Console Table with Hoof Foot

A good continental style piece, probably from around 1970-90? and in good condition, with mirror-cut and nicely-figured mahogany veneered top, with two plates at the rear for fixing to the wall with screws, having rounded front corners and moulded edge, on a plain frieze but featuring a giltwood ram's head and leaf scrolls to the front, over a single support decorated with pendant leaves, over a scrolled knee joint, over a concave & moulded leg and hoof foot, this stylish console or pier table has a touch of the occult about it but, dressed with a floral arrangement, it will charm in any tastefully-appointed reception hall.

Width of Top 53.75cm x Depth 26.25cm (21.25" x 10.5") & Height 78.25cm (30.75")

This piece dates from the second half of the 20thC, so you may expect minor wear & tear commensurate with age & normal use but, otherwise, it's in good condition and ready to use in your home.

NB: Because it is unstable on the single leg when not secured to a wall, I photographed this piece balanced on top of a radiator and hence the hoof foot didn't rest on the floor; I trust it to be self-evident that it is designed to be secured at a height that allows the foot to rest on the floor!
